1. Speeding
The speed limit in Thornhill Ridge is limited to 10 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave.
2. Check In / Check Out
Check in is at 2:00 PM CST and entitles you to your site until 11:00AM the day after check in. Early check in is not permitted. The guests who paid for the site the night before you have paid for their site until 11:00 AM.
Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please just contact the park for instructions.
3. Site Changes
You are renting a specific site, if you wish to move, please check with the office. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.
4. Open Fires and Fire Pits
Open fires are allowed but may only be built in an elevated fire pit or in a smokeless fire pit such as a Solo Stove. Smokeless fire pits are encouraged. Elevated or smokeless fire pits may be provided by the guest, or a smokeless fire pit may be rented from management. Ashes may be dumped in stationary metal cans on the back of the site, please do not dump ashes on the grass or in ditch. Open fires built directly on the ground or the concrete pad are not allowed and damage to managements properly will result in a minimum $125 fee to clean concrete, remove ash or repair/replace sod/rock and will be bill to the guests account. Firewood is for sale, please contact management for wood to be delivered to your site.
5. Site and Park Navigation
Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads, and designated paths to walk around the campground.
6. Vehicle and Trailers Parking/Use
Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges or removal. You may park no more than 1 RV on a rented site. You may park no more than 2 passenger vehicles on a rented site, and you may park 1 utility trailer/boat trailer or a combination thereof but no more than 4 wheeled units to include the RV. NO construction equipment or related items may be parked or present on a rented site All wheeled units must be properly positioned in the designated gravel parking area of each site. No parking on the concrete pad or the grass. All vehicles or utility trailers in the RV Community must be operable and properly registered with a current tag. No vehicle maintenance may occur on the rented site. No vehicles can block any portion of roadway. Vehicles may park in designated spaces only on each site. No on-street parking is allowed, either temporarily or overnight. Overflow parking area is in the designated spaces of the office parking lot. Please see management so we can accommodate your needs.
7. Storage, Outbuildings, and Site Fixtures
Storage is not allowed under or around your RV or picnic table. No permanent or semi-permanent or any type long term structures or fixtures may be erected or utilized on any rented site. This includes but is not limited to permanent seating, flower pots, storage apparatus, fixed stationary furniture or appliances. A management provided picnic tables is allowed.
The exception would be tent-like structures similar to a temporary screened in tents or collapsible coverings may be present on the site during occupancy as long as they are positioned on the concrete pad.
8. Visitors
RV Community management reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site at RV managements discretion. Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm CST. Visitors are subject to RV community management rules and their actions and activities are the responsibility of the person or entity renting the site being visited. RV community management at its sole discretion may request visitors to register at the office.
9. Maximum Capacity
Short-term occupancy of 7 days or less -No more than 6 overnight guest can occupy any single site at one time without written RV Community management approval.
Extended Stay Occupancy of more than 7 days - No more than 4 overnight guest can occupy any single site at one time without written RV Community management approval.
10. Customer and Visitor Conduct
Simply put, if a guest or a guest’s visitor is in possession of illegal drugs, acts disorderly, or obnoxious, uses obscene language or in general does not obey the written or oral rules and policies of RV Community management the offender will be removed from the RV community immediately and may or may not receive a refund of unused site rental fee if damage had occurred to RV community property. RV Community management at its sole discretion will define an offense.
We reserve the right to trespass any person(s) who does not comply with the rules and policies.

11. Laundry
The laundry room is open 24/7. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.
12. Restrooms
For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean. Guest under the age of 12 must always have adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers.
13. Loud Noise and Quiet Time Policies
Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. Please be respectful of your neighbor and their desire to enjoy peace and quiet. Anyone playing loud music, operating a loud vehicle or causing loud noise to originate from your rented site at any time during or outside quite time will be warned only once and then asked to leave possibly without a refund.
14. Pet Policies
Pets are allowed in the RV Community with strict guidelines. No more than 2 pets per rented lot. A pet is defined as a single domesticated animal. Animals such as farm animals, exotic animals and reptiles are not considered pets. An example of a pet is a dog or a cat.
RV community management may at its sole discretion deem a pet as aggressive and request the pet be removed from the community. If RV community management determines a pet to be aggressive or preventing the peaceful enjoyment of the RV community, said pet will be removed along with the pet owner with no expected compensation for site rental fees.
Any damages, claims, expenses, or liability realized by RV management, it’s agents or owners resulting from the presence of or caused by your pet while in the RV Community will be the responsibility of the pet owner.
Failure to comply with the pet policy may, at RV community management sole discretion, void any current and future site rentals or reservations.
Service animals are permitted according to federal and state guidelines with management reserving the right to disallow a Service animal that has been determined to be aggressive and preventing the peaceful enjoyment of the RV Community.
We ask that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe.
Pets may not be unattended. Temporary portable fencing may be allowed at RV Community Management discretion.
RV management desires to maintain a clean environment. Please respect this and clean any waste your pet may leave on the ground. Waste removed by RV community management will be accessed to the pet owners at a rate of $20.00 per waste pile deposited by your pet.
The cost of to repair or correct any damage caused by your pet will be the responsibility of the pet owner.
Any barking or excessive noise coming from your pet may result in the removal of the pet and or the pet owner at the sole discretion of RV Community Management.
All pets must stay on the pet owners rented site and not be allowed to roan unattended.
All pets should be vaccinated, please make sure your pet’s shots are current and you have proper shot records.
15. Trash Disposal
A dumpster is available for placement of bagged trash by customers renting a site only. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash containers located on the side of the office.
Please do not place your trash on the ground. Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our dumpster. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.
16. Drones
Drones are not permitted to be flown over RV Sites and roadway. Drones may be permitted in the Lake area of the community as long as the presence of your drone is not preventing the peaceful enjoyment of the RV community occupants as determined at the sole discretion of RV community management.
17. Clotheslines
Clotheslines are not permitted in our park.
18. Fireworks and Firearms
Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. Fireworks include, but are not limited to, sparklers, bottle rockets, roman candles, smoke bombs, aerials, firecrackers, and similar. Discharging of weapons including, but not limited to, guns of any design, and includes air soft, BB, and pellet guns are not allowed. If any of these items or devices are discharged in our community, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
19. Lake Thornhill Use
No swimming is allowed in the Lake. RC boats and Fishing is permitted by permission from RV Community Management.
20. Sewer Connections
A sealed connection is required on both ends of the sewer line as it connects to the sewer inlet pipe on each site. No commercial waste may be discharged through the sewer connection.
21. Electrical Use
You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in your RV. Amp usage over the 50 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay. Electric usage paid for within the site fee are for use with an RV and not for an electric vehicle charging. Charging an electric vehicle will result in an additional usage fee.
Please notify the office so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, policy prohibits you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.
22. Damages and Liability
Damages or injury caused by a guest or visitor will be the responsibility of the guest due and payable upon demand of RV Community management.
Guest assumes any and all risks associated with the foregoing and agrees to hold RV Community management and or its agents harmless from and indemnify RV Community management against the same.
RV Community management and or its agents is not responsible for personal injuries or damage, loss or theft of any personal property or vehicle.
RV Community management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Keep your valuables locked up.
23. Mail Delivery
Because we are a gated community, the delivery of mail or packages to any guests is not available. Guests must make arrangements to have their mail or packages delivered to a third-party location for pickup. If a mail or parcels are delivered to the community, RV community management will not be responsible if items are not obtained by the guest.
29. Off Road Vehicles
Golf carts are allowed in the RV Community for general inter-community travel. ATV’s, motorcycles, side-by-sides, are not allowed to be operated in the RV Community for inter-community travel. RV Community Management, at its sole discretion, will define allowable motorized vehicles
24. RV Condition
All Motorhomes, RVs or Travel Trailers must be in good working order and appearance to include original (OEM) paint, graphics, all clearance lights present and abnormal physical damage. All Motorhomes, RVs or Travel Trailers older than 7 years may not be accepted for extended stays.
RV Community Management reserves the right to refuse access to any guests whose vehicle or RV is deemed to be unacceptable.
RV Community management at its sole discretion will define acceptable appearance.
No window mounted HVAC units will be allowed for use on an RV in our community.
All Motorhome, RV’s or Travel Trailers must have the original factory paint in its entirety along with graphic/pin stripping, covers on clearance lights, no visible damage to awning and no broken windows or physical damage to the exterior of the unit.
Only RV specific jack stands will be allowed and no concrete blocks or bricks will be allowed for stabilizing the unit RV.
25. RV Site Usage
RV sites in general are to be used for placement of a recreational vehicle, used for lodging, along with the allowable number of passenger vehicles and/or utility trailer/boat trailer. No commercial or large vehicles are allowed to be parked on the rented site. RV Community management at its sole discretion will define commercial or large vehicle Washing of vehicles or an RV is not allowed on the site.
26. Tent Camping
No tents are allowed on any site. Blowup mattresses, sleeping bags, hammocks and cots are not allowed outside overnight sleeping. Sleeping in a vehicle is not allowed by any person(s).
27. Severe Weather
In case of severe weather, a community safe room is located at 1275 AL Hwy 143 Elmore, directly behind the Elmore Volunteer Fire Department
28. Site Appearance
All sites are to be kept neat and clean and free of trash for the duration of your stay.
30. Cancellation Policy
We are happy to provide full refunds for cancellations made at least 7 days prior to reservation date with the exception of a small $5 fee. For cancellations made within 7-day period we can offer a refund minus a $20 fee.
31. Noise Policy
Loud music or excess noise coming from your rented site may result in you being asked to leave the RV community. RV community management will define what is a loud noise at its sole discretion..
32.Hunting and Weapons Discharge
No hunting or discharging of a weapon on managements property
33. Thornhill Place RV Community Specific Policy
If you need to yield to another vehicle on the community access road please do so by pulling off of the access road to the side with closest to the white wood frame house and not the opposite side.
Guests in this RV Community will have access to amenities within Thornhill Ridge RV Community.
